Customers ask, "Why Coffeesmiths?" & "Why the anvil?"
The simple answer is "Coffee", combined with Jim and Lisa’s last name, "Smith", equals "Coffeesmiths".
The real answer is the symbolic relationship of a "Coffeesmith" to a "Blacksmith". Traditional blacksmiths, honed their skills by hammering hot metal, a raw product, with a hammer on an anvil, to create a new product from that raw material. The new product was hand-made and customized to that particular customer.
We like to take the coffee bean, our raw product, and customize a drink for each of our customers by hand, creating the freshest and best quality drink on the market. Blacksmiths also provided a vital service to their communities by providing a gathering place for customers and neighbors. Blacksmiths were hard working, focused on quality, and integral to the community. Coffeesmiths exemplifies the next generation of this tradition!
